When we are looking for a job we are filled with expectations, we want a harmonious environment that gives us the opportunity to grow and also have a positive impact on society. To be employees is to offer our most valuable resource: time. It should not be taken lightly!
We asked some of our therapists What does an ideal ABA Center look like to you? And this is what they replied:
We firmly believe an ideal ABA Center must have these 5 main characteristics, in addition to highly human qualified staff:
1. Offer benefits that allow workers to continue growing professionally.
Many therapy centers offer their professionals the possibility of participating in training courses that allow them to nourish their knowledge and so continue growing.
At SuperKids, we offer training and courses all year long. The last one our Super Team received was the Professional Crisis Management PCM. It is an important and relevant course in the career of our ABA Professionals, and its ultimate goal is to do our best to prevent high-intensity behaviors from occurring.
This also represents a benefit for companies, since it’s been proven that training workers generates greater productivity.
2. A harmonious work environment
How positive it is for our mind to arrive every day at a place where we feel comfortable, regardless of what we do. It’s undoubtedly a critera to take into account.
3. Respect and value the cultural differences
That includes languages and beliefs of the staff, without distinction or discrimination.
Particularly, we are in a ccommunity where many cultures coexist, so finding an ABA center that embraces those differences is also a priority.
We are proud to say that SuperKids is a Multicultural Center!
4. Have personalized therapy programs
For each child, where play time is encouraged as one of the daily activities during ABA Therapy.
5. Teach children daily living skills
In relation to developmental milestones and independence. Always with respect, love and professionalism.
It’s also important to note that for an ABA Center to carry out successful therapies, parents and caregivers must be fully involved in the process and the program must be continually monitored and evaluated by ABA Professionals.
